Guys I did it! I officially have a masters degree in law. This year has been chaotic and busy to say the least. So many changes and so little time to blog about it. I officially moved again into my own place and I got my first official job. So all in all these are very exciting times.
I hope I can blog a lot more now that things have settled down. I have been traveling a bit more this summer but I hope I can really start traveling more soon. I want to travel around Europe; to Italy and Iceland and Norway. I want to travel to Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. And so many more places. I feel so excited for this new chapter in my life and the possibilities it has opened me up to.
Career wise I am really excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. There are so many doors open to me and I like that I don’t know where life will take me.
I have some blog posts planned, like my trip to Kinderdijk in the Netherlands. As well as more budgeting tips so stay on the look out.
Now this is NOT a typical new years resolutions, new year new me moment, where I list everything I will achieve or change about myself this year. I think if 2020 taught me one thing it’s that you really can’t predict what life will throw at you nor make concrete strict plans to achieve/do. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t have some goals. Personally, I want my goals to be open and based on personal growth. So It wouldn’t be realistic for me to make travel goals in 2021 since I’m living in a current lockdown. But I could make a goal to be financially smart and really be intentional with my saving and spending this year. My top goal in life is always to be happy in everything I do and everywhere I go. So no matter what I achieve or set out to accomplish this is always the overall end game. That being said; here are my goals for 2021.
First, I want to practice photography. I have always been interested in photography but never took the time to really practice and improve myself. But I do struggle to find inspiration sometimes… When traveling inspiration is at every corner, taking in the new beauty of this world. However, I am realistic and see that this year might mostly be spent at home. But I hope to be able to find more beautiful pictures I can take close to home and really improve this skill. Please follow me on instagram to follow along this journey with me.
Secondly, I want to be intentional with my spending in order to optimize my savings. I want to make sure I budget well (check out my post on budgeting tips when moving and my post for daily budgeting tips). I hope that by being really intentional with my spending; I will be able be able to limit it to the necessities and have more saved for fun activities or a bigger purchase or even my future.
Lastly, I want to make sure to always follow my passion. I am currently obtaining my masters and am definitely really enjoying the whole experience. I feel that passion for what I do and I want to carry that on into work or wherever I may go next.
Although these may seem small goals, to me they are very meaningful. I believe I will be able to achieve them and really keep them in my heart for 2021. There will of course be small things I want to do or want to accomplish along the way but I try not to make them hard goals. I think that in the moment you get opportunities to follow when the time is right and setting a strict 2021 list such as taking a cooking class will restrict the new experiences waiting for you around the corner.
