Life nowadays have changed drastically for everyone. I feel that social media is filled with posts about work out progress or using this time to work more. This puts A LOT of pressure and expectations on people. Some days in quarantine will be productive and busy but other days will still be hard. I think that’s OK.
Everyone handles situations differently and everyone needs different things for their own mental well being. So I don’t think putting one goal or routine onto everyone works in a time like these. Some days I just want to relax and watch TV a bit longer than usual and THAT’S OK. Other days I try to stay busy and make plans to fill my day and that’s also OK. I think each person needs to do what makes them happy and take a break when they need to as well.
That being said I here is a day in my life during quarantine. Some things I try to incorporate into my days is a work out, a spiritual session, time carved out for my blog or studying, some days I have to attend classes and I always try to make sure that after 6 pm I don’t have to work anymore. This obviously varies from day to day depending on how I feel.
My day normally start around 7 am to 8 am. I always try to start with a spiritual session, for me that’s meditation. After that I eat breakfast, today that was just some toast with some green tea. After my breakfast I went for a walk with my adorable rescue dog. I am pretty thankful because I live in the countryside so when I go for a walk I don’t see any people and there is always enough space to pass by while respecting social distancing. Some days before my walk I will work out. I do this to get my exercise for the day out of the way so I can focus on work. This morning I didn’t feel like it so i decided to move my work out to this afternoon.

After walking, It was lunch time. I decided to make some pasta for lunch and it did not disappoint.
After lunch I always grab a cappuccino and I start studying for a couple of hours. I normally try to set goals of what to finish, for example, read a chapter or read certain case law. I found that setting a specific time for me to study didn’t help me focus or stick to my goals well.
After studying I worked a little on my blog and then I did my workout. Nowadays I try to do indoor workout routines, I always look up certain exercises for my core strength and some cardio. I always finish with some yoga poses and my favourite right now is the sun salutation.
At this point, it is 6 pm and I have finished work for the day. I normally try to relax a bit before cooking dinner. Tonight, for dinner, is a salad with some vegetarian sausages. It was very delicious. After dinner I always watch some TV shows or a movie on Netflix. Tonight I watched the movie Oceans 8. I’ve been waiting 2 years to see it because I just missed seeing it in cinema and wanted to wait till it was on Netflix. This week it finally is! I ended my evening by video calling loved ones. I am very grateful for technology these days, makes isolation a little less lonely.
